electrochemistry business of Corning, Inc., and has obtained a
controlling interest through a direct investment in
Wissenschaftlich-Technische Werkstätten GmbH & Co. KG ("WTW"),
a privately held company in Weilheim, Germany that develops and
delivers award-winning physical-chemical measuring analytical
instruments for laboratory research and quality control including water
and wastewater analysis.

Massachusetts, March 5, 2003 - Corning Life Sciences has
announced the sale of its electrochemistry product line to Nova
Analytics, a company based in Woburn, MA. This includes pH,
temperature, conductivity, DO and specific ion meters, as well as the
associated electrodes, buffers and solutions.
All other Corning Life Sciences' businesses including
glass, equipment (hotplates and stirrers) and plastic products will
continued to be owned, managed and operated by Corning without any
change.
